In this exercise, we ask the Holy Spirit to guide us as we consider the following:
- God’s ways and thoughts are higher than ours (Isa 55: 8-9)
- God is the Potter and we are the clay.
- God is in total control of His creation.
- God raises up good and evil people to serve His purposes.
- God orchestrates both encouraging and difficult circumstances as He desires.
The term “sovereign” may be defined as:
Supreme in power; possessing supreme dominion; as a sovereign ruler of the universe.
This exercise simply encourages you to search scripture.
The Word is “alive and active” so go as the Spirit leads, and call on Him often. Be patient, and let The Word of God speak to you.
This is your exercise:
Use the e-Sword app to “Bible Search” two or more of the following suggestions or search whatever the Spirit puts on your heart. As you scroll through search results you are looking for indications of God’s power, authority, and control over His creation.
- “Noah” All Words, Bible
- “Harden”, Partial Match, Bible- the “partial match” will yield “hardened” as well.
- “High places”, Phrase, Bible
- “I am the Lord”, Phase, Bible
- “Thus says the lord”, Phase, Bible (use “thus saith the lord” with KJV)
- “Declares the Lord” Phase, Bible (use “saith the lord” with KJV)
- “Potter” All Words, Bible
